Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1)

Giving thanks is an important spiritual discipline that helps open our eyes to the gifts God has generously offered us each day.

As we each prepare our hearts and households for a season of expressing gratitude for God’s love and faithfulness, Covenant is encouraging students, families, and members of our community to consider stewarding their God-given gifts of time, talent, and treasure – leading up to Giving Tuesday on November 28th and beyond – to reflect His love and advance His Kingdom.

It’s more blessed to give than receive. (Acts 20:35)

#GivingTuesday is an annual global generosity movement that instigates radical generosity worldwide and represents the belief that every act of generosity is the primary means – and end. Click here to learn more about Giving Tuesday.

To give is to imitate Christ and, thus, to become more like Him in our lives.

In the days leading up to and including #GivingTuesday and through the end of the year, please consider partnering with Covenant in expanding His Kingdom through one or more opportunities listed here:

  • Contributing to the annual Christmas Blessing, an all-school monetary collection from CCA families that is equally divided among faculty and staff through gift cards. To make an online contribution through PayPal, click here, or drop off cash or a check with “Christmas Blessing” in the memo field to our front office. For families new to the Covenant community, the Covenant Parent Connection will disseminate a formal description of this initiative shortly after Thanksgiving.

  • Donating urgently needed items such as food, clothing, baby items, or personal care products to families in need through Lazarus House Ministries, Project Bethlehem. Click here for more info or email Laura Pawlyk at laura.pawlyk@ccamailorg.

  • Managing the SCRIP Gift Card program – which allows you to shop for the brands you love while earning money for the school you love! Read more about this fantastic program here, or contact Rita Detwiler, Business Office Manager, at rita.detwiler@ccamail.org.

  • Donating, rather than throwing away, your pumpkins for compost in the Classical Roots garden. For more information, contact Alex Miller, Classical Roots Program Steward, at alex.miller@ccamail.org.
  • Wrapping and delivering Lazarus House Ministries, Project Bethlehem gifts in partnership with the Covenant Parent Connection on Monday, December 11th. Additional details will be forthcoming in an email from the Covenant Parent Connection.
  • Making a financial donation to the three-phased, $30 million God’s Not Done Yet Strategic Growth Initiative. Phase One included constructing the USLR Academic Enhancement Center, and adding new Logic school classrooms, administrative offices, science labs, teacher workspaces, and new art rooms, music classrooms, and music practice rooms/future recording studios. The Phase One financial goal is $2m, and we are 50% of the way to meeting this goal, with a tremendous opportunity to achieve 100% due in large part to the generosity of a donor who has agreed to match up to $500,000! Every donation moves us closer to our goal, regardless of the amount, and most gifts made by December 31, 2023 are tax-deductible (talk to your financial advisor for more details). Read more about God’s Not Done Yet here. Make an online donation through PayPal here. Drop off a check at the CCA front office or mail a check payable to Covenant Christian Academy to 83 Pine Street, Peabody, MA 01960. Contact Nicole Wise Williams, Chief Advancement Officer, at nicole.williams@ccamail.org with questions or for more information.
  • Purchasing or contributing to the cost of an item our school could use from our Wish List. Please contact with Nicole Wise Williams, Chief Advancement Officer, at nicole.williams@ccamail.com with questions or for more information.

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

Covenant family, please prayerfully consider how to partner with us leading up to #GivingTuesday on November 28th and beyond. We look forward to joining with you to fill the remaining days of 2023 with supernatural purpose, fulfillment, and joy!
