Let’s celebrate the servant leaders who selflessly dedicate their time, talent, and treasure; honor those who place their trust in us to shepherd their children; and extend heartfelt gratitude to our community – your belief, support, and faithful companionship propel us forward in fulfilling God’s mission for CCA.

Covenant Parent Connection Open Meeting

Parents, please join us for the Covenant Parent Connection open meeting to learn how you can support upcoming activities and events. Stay for our fourth Covenant Commentary, which will take place at the end of the open meeting.

Our next Covenant Commentary, Technology and Our Children: A Conversation We Can’t Afford to Ignore, will be held on Friday, March 1st during the Covenant Parent Connection meeting at 8:15 am. As the prevalence of smart technology increases, so does its impact on our children’s development, raising concerns about their well-being and safety. Grammar School Principal Andrea Bergstrom and USLR Dean of Academics Tracy Bennett will explore the potential risks and challenges posed by smart devices and platforms, urging for a balanced and informed approach to the role technology plays in our children’s lives.

This session will be recorded for those who cannot attend.

If you have questions about Covenant Commentaries or would like to suggest topics for future Commentaries, please contact Nicole Wise Williams, Chief Advancement Officer, at nicole.williams@ccamail.org

March Uniform Swap

Tuesday, March 5th–Thursday, March 7th | PAAC Hallway Ramp

Our next Uniform Swap will be available in the PAAC Hallway Ramp from March 5 – March 7. It is unnecessary to contribute to benefit, but we encourage everyone to participate – or hand down outgrown uniforms directly to family and friends.

100th Day of School

We celebrated our 100th day of school on Wednesday. The second graders and their teachers surely dressed the part of 100-year-old men and women!

Hot Chocolate Winter Reading Challenge

Second graders had about six weeks to read at least five books of various genres and complete a short report on each one while practicing their summarizing skills. Some students read up to eight books bringing the total to 156 books! After sharing their favorite stories, students were treated to some real cups of hot chocolate as they celebrated their reading success!

Second Grade Birthday Celebration

Second graders recently celebrated the birthdays of Miss Clifford and second-grade aide Mrs. Jacobson, both of whom share the same birthday!  Thanks to the room parents who helped coordinate a small celebration to help them feel loved and appreciated!  We are blessed to have them both ministering to our 28 second-graders!

This Week in Fourth Grade

Fourth graders concluded their Electricity unit by designing their own rooms! Each student left a thumb-sized hole for a lightbulb, and then they used their knowledge of complete circuits to illuminate their special shoebox creation!

ALUMNI NEWS

Riley Freedman ‘23 recently completed his first semester at Ithaca College in the School of Communications and was recognized on the Dean’s list with a 4.0 GPA. He is truly enjoying his classes at Ithaca as a Film, Television, and Emerging Media major student!  Riley has been able to continue his love for singing and is in an A cappella group on campus called “Pitch Please”. He is also a writer and a field host for a show called “Game Over” in which he reviews video games. This has been a passion of Riley’s for many years.
