Why Covenant?“I had previously looked at CCA before and decided on applying for grade 4 for our son. We first visited during a Wednesday morning Open House. After our visit, I couldn’t help but say ‘Wow! This is what I envisioned for my child!’. The Christian school environment came first, but we were also impressed by the rigorous and engaging curriculum, arts and athletics opportunities, and the class sizes. After Brevyn was accepted, we chose to enroll him at CCA because we loved everything we saw. We loved the facilities. Everyone was welcoming. We liked the opportunities for everything from STEM to athletics to extracurriculars, to fine arts, and JESUS!We are just a month into our first year at CCA, but we are delighted with our experience thus far!” – The Reese Family

Wills and Estate Plans are NOT Just for Wealthy Individuals
A will allows you to choose how your assets are distributed after you die instead of leaving it to the state to decide; however, 68% of Americans do not have a will or estate plan. Do you believe you don’t have enough assets to make a will, or do you think a will is unnecessary? Are you unsure of your plans for your legacy?
It’s recommended to have a will if you:
- own real estate
- have minor children or
- have valuable assets like a care or bank account.
Do you want to establish a will but don’t know where to start? Do you have questions about your current will or estate plan? Do you have a will or estate plan and want to update it to support CCA and future generations?
Covenant parent Linda Hanson (Braje), Esq., (’22, ’23, ’33), will help answer your questions.
Linda is offering a confidential and free phone or in-person consultation and document review, and a 10% discount to CCA families on any estate planning services.

Reminder: Medication PolicyMedication administration in the school setting is highly regulated by the state of Massachusetts. Every effort should be made to schedule medication administration outside school hours. The school nurse has standing orders for the following over-the-counter medications: Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, Aquaphor, calamine lotion, natural tear drops, and cough drops. However, these medications may only be administered with parent’s written permission through the Magnus Health portal. ALL other medications requiring administration during school hours will require both physician’s orders and parental consent. Please note students are not permitted to carry ANY medications at school. The only exceptions include self-carried USLR epipens and inhalers with doctor’s orders, or at school nurse discretion in consultation with the parents. Any unauthorized medications found to be carried by students during the day will be confiscated, and returned to parents at dismissal. Please contact Christen Ashley, RN at school.nurse@ccamail.org if you have any questions. |

Cougars RoundUp!
Thursday, October 10th:
Boys Middle School Soccer: CCA 2 vs. Brookwoods 1
In a thrilling matchup, the CCA Middle School Boys Soccer team emerged victorious over Brookwoods with a final score of 2-1. This match showcased the best performance of the season so far. The first half ended scoreless, but Brookwoods took the lead with a penalty kick early in the second half. Undeterred, the Cougars stepped up their game. Hudson B (‘29) equalized with a well-placed shot following a beautiful cross from Kaleb S (‘29). As the game neared its end, Kaleb converted a penalty kick in the final 10 minutes, sealing the win for CCA. The defense was rock-solid, with standout performances from Trace P (‘29), Zeb B (‘29), and Nolan W (‘30), while Tyler C (‘29) excelled as the stopper.
Girls Middle School Soccer: CCA 1 vs. Brookwoods 2
In a challenging match against a skilled Brookwoods team, the CCA Middle School Girls Soccer team fought hard but ultimately fell 2-1.
The game was marked by intense pressure from Brookwoods, but the Cougars’ defense stood strong, with standout performances from the entire backline and exceptional saves by goalie Isabella V (‘30). CCA took an early lead with a stunning goal from Bella D (‘29), giving the team a boost of confidence. However, Brookwoods responded in the second half, capitalizing on their persistent pressure to score two goals and secure the win. Despite the loss, CCA showed resilience and determination throughout the match. Great effort, Cougars!
Boys JV Soccer: CCA 2 vs. Landmark 3
In a competitive matchup, the CCA JV Boys Soccer team battled hard but ultimately fell to Landmark with a final score of 3-2. The game was marked by intense physical play from both sides. Nate Jukanovich (‘28) and Simeon Yen (‘26) found the back of the net for CCA, showcasing their scoring abilities and keeping the team in the game. Despite the loss, the boys demonstrated great effort and resilience against a tough opponent.
Tuesday, October 15th:
Boys Middle School Soccer: CCA 4 vs. Tower 1
In a thrilling match, the CCA Middle School Boys Soccer team turned things around after a shaky start to defeat Tower. Early on, the Cougars struggled with spacing and communication, allowing Tower to score from a corner kick that went untouched through the box.
However, the team quickly regrouped. Hudson B (‘29) brought the score to 1-1 with a powerful long shot from outside the box, assisted by Judah L (‘29). David P (’31) then put CCA ahead with a well-placed shot off a beautiful cross from Kaleb S (‘29). The second half was dominated by the Cougars, as Jayden K (‘30) scored the third goal with a nice touch from Cole M (‘29). Cole capped off the scoring after a strong offensive push from David P, solidifying a fantastic 5-1 victory for CCA.
Girls Middle School Soccer: CCA 4 vs. Tower 0
In a strong display of determination and teamwork, the CCA Middle School Girls Soccer team avenged their earlier season loss to Tower by securing a convincing 4-0 victory. The Cougars started the match with intensity, taking advantage of a misplayed goal kick from Tower. Kelly S (‘29) opened the scoring with a stunning shot into the top corner. About halfway through the first half, Addie J (‘30) extended the lead with a well-placed goal from a corner kick. Just before halftime, Natalie P (‘29) found the net with a beautiful shot that ricocheted off the post, set up by a great pass from Bella D (‘29). At the beginning of the second half, Kelly struck again, scoring her second goal after another misplay by Tower’s defense. Throughout the game, CCA dominated possession and maintained solid defensive pressure, preventing Tower from creating any real threats.
Girls Varsity Volleyball: CCA 3 vs. Penguin Hall 0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-14)
The Girls Varsity Volleyball team returned from the long weekend to host Penguin Hall in a non-conference match on Tuesday evening, and CCA defeated Penguin Hall in straight sets: 25-10, 25-13, 25-14. The story of the match was the Cougars’ consistency and power from behind the service line, where they accumulated 36 aces as a team. Maley Adair (’26) led the way with 12 aces, while Riley Baird (’25) and Leanna Rothier (’27) tallied 6 aces each. The Cougars’ attack was led by Julia Ray (’25), who was efficient with 9 kills on only 12 swings.
The girls will be back in action on Friday, October 18th for a homecoming matchup with a new IGC opponent, Boston Trinity Academy!

If you were to participate in the USLR Lip Sync Battle, which song would you sing? I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers
If you were to participate in the GS Star Wars dress-down day, which character would you be? Probably Luke Skywalker. Or a wookiee.
Is there anything you’d like to say to the community as you start your journey here? I am really excited for my family to be a part of CCA and to join in with the great work being done here.
Welcome to our CCA family, Daniel! |
