GENERAL NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Family Referral Incentive Program

Covenant has a Family Referral Incentive Program to both incentivize and reward CCA parents and employees who help us welcome mission-aligned families to our community. Our parents, students, and employees are our best ambassadors, sharing their positive experiences at Covenant with friends, family, and acquaintances.

Current CCA families, as well as faculty and staff members, can receive a $500 referral bonus for each new family that they refer (who then applies to CCA, is accepted, and enrolls for the 2025–2026 school year). The Family Referral Program does not apply to immediate family members or persons living in the same household.

While many grade levels have already reached capacity for next year, we do have limited openings still available. Contact the Office of Admissions: admissions@ccamail.org or click here for more info.

Claim Your Lost Items Before Friday!

The Lost and Found has been carefully organized and arranged on tables and hanging racks in the PAAC hallway for your convenience. Please stop by to claim your items! Outerwear, water bottles, lunch boxes, shoes and other treasures galore… It’s amazing what you might find!

Unclaimed items will be sent to the Uniform Swap or donated to charity after school on Friday.

MEET OUR TEAM

Rebecca Draper, Director of College Guidance

What is your role at Covenant and how long have you worked here?  I am the Director of College Guidance and this is my 7th year at CCA.

What has been your biggest learning experience here so far? College Admissions trends change every year, so staying on top of changing information is a big part of what I do. That said, the most dramatic changes were during the Covid years. Everyone had to learn to adapt to a different way of college searching and admissions and then to keep the good and move on from the difficulties once we fully returned to in-person experiences again.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Covenant? The students! The individual conversations I have with students as they navigate preparing for life after high school are so important. I learn from them and I am excited about what the next generation thinks and cares about!

Can you share a Bible verse or passage that has had a significant impact on your life or career? Psalm 100, verse 3: “Know that the LORD is God.  It is he who made us, and we are his;  we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? I enjoy cooking, gardening, ice skating, and pickleball!  I love all the seasons in New England and would always rather be outside.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I would like to go back to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Describe one way you see God’s hand in Covenant’s mission or work. I am grateful that in my position, I get to see where CCA grads go, what they plan to study, and how they plan to make their impact on the world and God’s kingdom.

What’s your favorite food? Anything with pesto!

Who on the team inspires you the most, and why? I am inspired by so many of my colleagues who truly care about each individual student here at CCA and excellence in teaching.

What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? I started my career in education as a high school English teacher.

What’s your favorite CCA tradition or event? My favorite tradition is the candlelight ceremony at Baccalaureate when seniors pass the flame on to juniors.  I enjoy celebrating all the hard work and accomplishments of the seniors as they graduate and become CCA alumni, while at the same time encouraging the rising senior class in their new role as school community leaders.

What’s your favorite book, movie, or hobby? I have so many favorite books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Emma, All Creatures Great and Small to name a few!

How do you find balance between your faith, family, and work commitments? I am so grateful for community! I reach out to others in my church, school, and neighborhood community both to ask for help and to offer it! The balance of asking and offering changes in different seasons.

Is there anything else you’d like the community to know about you? I love working as a student advocate through the college admissions process. I want to be a resource to students and families as they navigate this exciting but tricky time. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions!
