Family Referral Incentive Program
Covenant has a Family Referral Incentive Program to both incentivize and reward CCA parents and employees who help us welcome mission-aligned families to our community. Our parents, students, and employees are our best ambassadors, sharing their positive experiences at Covenant with friends, family, and acquaintances.
Current CCA families, as well as faculty and staff members, can receive a $500 referral bonus for each new family that they refer (who then applies to CCA, is accepted, and enrolls for the 2025–2026 school year). The Family Referral Program does not apply to immediate family members or persons living in the same household.
While many grade levels have already reached capacity for next year, we do have limited openings still available. Contact the Office of Admissions: admissions@ccamail.org or click here for more info. |

Embracing Reflection: Eighth-Grade Threshold Speeches
Eighth-graders delivered their Threshold Speeches this week in front of an audience of nearly 100 peers, families, and teachers. Threshold is the culmination of the eighth-grade year at Covenant, during which each student shares an 8-minute personal story reflecting something that has greatly impacted their lives. Along with their speech, they share a piece of artwork they created related to their story. These students presented with eloquence, humility, and tenacity, and are beginning to demonstrate the qualities of a CCA graduate.

Varsity Ultimate Frisbee
Monday, May 12: CCA 15, Gann 12
The Varsity Ultimate Frisbee team enjoyed a fantastic game on a sunny day with a refreshing breeze, taking on a strong Gann Academy squad. In a well-fought rematch, they secured a 15-12 victory, showing impressive endurance and consistency throughout the game. Mikey Graves (’26) led the scoring with six goals, using his speed and height to dominate in the end zone. Elliot Smith (’28) followed with three goals, while Tristan Vieira (’26) led in assists with six. Mikey added five assists, and Simeon Yen (’26) contributed four. The highlight score of the game came from Evie Crowell (’28), who impressively tracked down a floating disc among four defenders. Defensively, the team performed with confidence, seamlessly switching between zone and man coverage. Caleb Hoeman (’26) stood out with multiple disruptions in the middle of the field and also added two goals to the scoreboard.
Wednesday, May 14: CCA 15, Pingree 8
It was a beautiful afternoon for Ultimate as the team claimed a solid 15–8 victory over Pingree. Despite being a newer team, Pingree brought strong athleticism that challenged the home squad, particularly in defensive transitions. Coach Wegrzyn was especially pleased with the balanced offensive performance, with 10 different players contributing either a goal or an assist. Mikey Graves (’26) led the scoring with four goals, followed by Jacob Williamson (’26), Sam Batten (’27), and Anthony Kierstead (’27) with two apiece. Maggie Allinder (’28) and Tim Batten (’30) each added one goal, while Kaden Lewis (’28) made a memorable diving catch for a score. The game was capped off by a signature deep catch from Evie Crowell (’28), securing the final point. On the assist front, Simeon Yen (’26) led with four, while both Tristan Vieira (’26) and Mikey recorded three. Kaden contributed two assists, and Sam added one—fittingly thrown to his brother Tim, keeping the scoring in the family. Defensively, Pingree’s speed posed a significant test, but the Cougars rose to the challenge. Jacob and Tristan stood out with several key plays, and Anthony made a highlight-worthy interception that turned the momentum. The game-winning point was particularly special, as it was scored with all four female players on the field together—a fitting end to a well-rounded team effort.
Girls Varsity Softball
Thursday, May 8: CCA 7, Penguin Hall 6
Covenant Christian Academy secured a dramatic 7–6 victory over Penguin Hall with a late-game comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning. Allie Freedman (’25) delivered the game-winning hit, driving in Julia S. (’30) to seal the win. Izzy P. (’29) dominated on the mound with an impressive 16 strikeouts, while Olivia C. (’29) led the offense with three hits. It was a hard-fought and exciting win for the varsity squad.
Congrats to our Graduates!

Jessica Rossotti, Chief Finance and Operating Officer
What is your role at Covenant and how long have you worked here? I’m the Chief Finance and Operating Officer and I’ve been in this role since 2022, but started working at CCA in 2021 as a part-time Administrative Assistant in the USLR.
What has been your biggest learning experience here so far? There are always curveballs. I can plan ahead, make thoughtful decisions, and do my best to be prepared—but in the end, I’m not the one in control. I won’t always get everything right, and I’m reminded that Christ is in control and He is constantly providing.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Covenant? The community! From my coworkers to the students and parents, Covenant is filled with compassionate, hard-working, and like-minded people who honor God in all they do. There aren’t many other places where you can experience an environment like that every day.
Can you share a Bible verse or passage that has had a significant impact on your life or career? Philippians 4:4-6: Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Spending time with my family, running, cooking, going to the beach, and reading.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Alaska. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to incredible places—Europe, Japan, Bora Bora, and Hawaii are some —but there’s something about Alaska’s majestic landscapes that seem captivating. It reminds me of God’s power and beauty in a way that few places can.
Describe one way you see God’s hand in Covenant’s mission or work. I see it in our students and teachers. Sit in on a class or listen to a Senior Thesis presentation, and you’ll see God at work. In those moments, it’s clear—our students and teachers are different, shaped by faith, wisdom, and a deep sense of purpose.
What’s your favorite food? Pizza. Ice Cream. Cookies. All 3 on a Friday night is a win.
Who on the team inspires you the most, and why? This is hard because I can honestly say that everyone on the team inspires me for different reasons. But if I had to choose right now, it’s tied between two people: Bob Mulvey and Josh Ulrich. Bob keeps a sense of humor no matter what the situation. Josh is incredibly committed to the safety and security of our school (and also has an awesome sense of humor!)
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know? I had a full conversation with a dad at the playground, made playdate plans for our daughters, and only later realized… it was John C. McGinley from Scrubs.
What’s your favorite CCA tradition or event? The two-week Christmas vacation!
What’s your favorite book, movie, or hobby? Favorite Book: Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption
How do you find balance between your faith, family, and work commitments? Working at the school means church, school, friends, family, and work all overlap, so finding balance is always a work in progress. I start my days with scripture and prayer, run to clear my mind and care for my body, and try to devote as much of my weekends as I can to quality family time. Remembering the Lord’s faithfulness to my family and me helps me keep perspective, which makes finding balance feel a little easier.
Is there anything else you’d like the community to know about you? Nope! But if you see me, please say hi! I don’t get to interact with the community as much in my role, so I really enjoy meeting people when I can! |
