Project Bethlehem
Since opening its doors as an emergency shelter in 1983, Lazarus House Ministries has been serving people struggling with poverty from its base in Lawrence, Massachusetts, one of the poorest cities in New England. Project Bethlehem is Lazarus House’s annual Christmas-giving program, and CCA is partnering with Lazarus House again this year to provide gift cards and presents for four families in need.
UPDATE: 25 more gifts are needed for these deserving families! If those needs are met, boxes of baby wipes, diapers, and pull-ups for babies and toddlers are also urgently needed.
All gifts must be brought to school by Dec. 8th. Gift cards should be brought directly to the office. All gifts must be unwrapped and include the family number and recipient name.

Parent-Teacher ConferencesDear Grammar School Parents: Teachers and Administrators are looking forward to seeing you on Friday, December 8th, for our annual parent-teacher conferences. We will be scheduling conferences throughout the day beginning at 8:00am and all conferences will be in-person at Covenant. We are providing you with plenty of notice as we recognize that some may need to secure time off from work. These conferences are a required check-in at this point in the school year. If you are unable to make an in-person conference work on this day, please contact your child’s classroom teacher to make alternate arrangements. This year we will once again be using an online registration sign up program called PTCFast. Remember: there is no school for students on this day (Friday, December 9th).
Registration will be open at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27th and will remain open through Wednesday, December 6th. Parents will use our online conference scheduler (PTCFast) to choose conference times. I believe you will find this scheduler to be user-friendly. If you have difficulty scheduling your conferences or need to schedule a conference after December 6th, please contact Lisa Coleman at lisa.coleman@ccamail.org . Parents of students in grades 5 and 6 MUST sign up for a 10 minute conference with each grade level teacher (Rebecca Clifford and Amy Prichard for Grade 5, Brooke Baker and Kelly Christensen for Grade 6). All other teachers will be offering 20 minute conferences. Instructions for using PTCFast:

30 Reasons Not to be in a PlayStage kisses, pinkeye, inciting World War III — these are only a few of the many things that can go wrong during the production of a play. From the author of 15 Reasons Not To Be in a Play comes a full evening of the horrors and hardships that befall those who feel the call of the stage. In a series of hilarious examples, this play proves that drama can be a very dangerous thing and it must be avoided at all costs. Tickets to the Logic School play, 30 Reasons NOT to be in a Play are now on sale! Please click here for more information. |
