10/26/2016 - The Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Waldorf School of Lexington today, 6-1, in the MBIL Division 2 semi-final game.  The boys initially came out slow, allowing Waldorf to go up by one midway through the first half.  But it didn't take long for the Cougars to find their stride and respond before halftime. Junior Nick Murray was the first to score off a header.  In the second half, Junior Jon Jordan scored a beautiful left-footed strike from the top of the box.  Senior Mike Tammaro followed this with a goal off of a rebound, after a corner kick.  The Cougars continued thier momentum with Junior Tate Ostrowski scoring from a give-and-go in the box.  Senior Mikey Gergely got a goal too, dribbling through two defeners to reach the net.  Finally, Senior Jared Bell put one in off of a nice pass from a corner kick.

Tonight was "Senior Night" for the team and we couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate than folllowing a decisive win such as this.  Thank you to our seniors for your leadership this year, and to your parents, for their years of dedication and support of your involvement in soccer. The Cougars will play in the Championship Match this Friday, October 28th at 3:00pm at home against Commonwealth School of Bosotn.  Be sure to come out and support your Cougars as they compete for the Championship!
